After 4 days in the Port of Orillia, we are ready to move on. We didn't plan to stay here that long, but the waterways were crowded with holiday boat traffic... staying put just made sense. Sunday was the marina's last day for the season... you can still stay here, and there is power and water... no charge. So, there was a change in the marina today: lots of boats out, and some different boats in. Free is a good price. Plus, they gave us a key to the showers and told us to keep it... we can stay here on the way back through, if we want.
Today was a prep day: laundry and grocery shopping. We were planning to go for a bike ride this afternoon, but visited with a boat that pulled in... a family on a Rosborough. They used to have a C-Dory 16, and knew we were regulars on the C-Brats. The Rossi is new to them and they doing their maiden cruise with it. They may be headed for the Erie Canal, so we lent them our cruising guides; gave them a card with our address on it so they know where to send them back when they're done with 'em.
Orillia has been a good stop, but we're looking forward to the rest of the Trent-Severn.
