Yes, I know the "best stuff is out there." We made another shopping/lunch trip into town and stopped for some scenic views on the way back in...
And, a panorama...
We moved the truck and trailer to make it a little less of a hike when it's time to retrieve the boat. There was some discussion of doing laundry, but the temp was pushing towards 90º and neither of us felt like schlepping the laundry to the campground, about a mile walk from here.
We have water, we have detergent, and we have a bucket. Joan hand washed a few things...
The wind is gusting around 30 this afternoon... no intention of heading out in that. You can see the shirts hanging out to dry...
No, she didn't hang underwear out, so you don't get to see my pretty blue thong (go ahead - try to get that image out of your head). Besides, the wind would have blown them away... they are safely hanging in the head.
Some folks in a small run-about came in while I was filling the solar shower and water jugs - he said, "It is downright nasty out there! I think we had 5 foot waves coming back in!" I'm sure he wasn't exaggerating ... but, it was funneling down the canyon pretty good.
My favorite part of the day: ice cream on the way back from town!!
If it's still blowing tomorrow, we'll get another night in the marina - they give a discount to BoatUS members!

Wonderful boat, that landing craft. They were fellow slip mates as we got ready to attend the Powell gathering. Owned by a wonderful retired couple. No more roomy than your 25 or my 22 for that matter. But very well laid out and built like a tank. Carries about 450 horse power. You can buy one like it for just shy of 250 grand.
