Shuffling...

Between laundry, lunch, and grocery shopping, we did a lot of shuffling back and forth between the motorhome and town.

Along the way, I picked up a scooter "tag" for: your scooter with a sign that has a fruit on it...

The banner is for the new art museum on the island, which will be opening soon.  That red bag you see strapped on the seat of the scooter is the laundry.  Well, part of the laundry.

I posted a new scooter tag: your scooter with the price sign from a gas station...

Yes, there is about a 50¢ per gallon "luxury tax" for living on an island.  On the bright side, we don't go through much gas in the scoots.  Filling them both up once or week or so is generally around $7 or $8... yeah, for the two of them.

So, how does that price compare to what you're paying locally?

Wow! You're a good dollar high, assuming that's non ethanol. More if it contains it. Maybe I need a scoot. How does the a/c work on that? You know I hate humidity and need a/c to kill it.

Yeah, that's with ethanol. Everything is more expensive because "you're on an island." The a/c is "organic"... all natural. High tomorrow will be 68ยบ. I will have 3 layers on during my scoot commute to the other side of the island.

Never needed a/c the past three summers here on the boat. We did run heat almost every night. Low tonight will be in the upper 40s.

We filled up for less than $2/gallon when we left Texas in April. I know gas has gone up some since that time... not that much, though.
