It's beginning to look a lot like...

... DOLPHINS!  Lots and lots of dolphins.

We have settled back into our routine: lounge around the house in the morning... coffee and Izzy-time for Joan, hot chocolate and internet for me.  Some guitar and singing.  Eventually, some showering.  Then, out on the boat!

Warm and humid with a southeast breeze.  Heading out the canal, with the wind at our backs, you feel the heat and humidity...

Joan packed us lunch - nice to be out with my Honey...

Turning southwest, into the sun...

We weren't the only ones looking for dolphins...

Joan took the helm, I got ready with the camera...

Our first view of the dolphins...

George and Scarlet (the dolphin whisperer) have the Sea Life Center and both do dolphin watch tours; plenty of activity to see...

I get a kick out of Scarlet's interaction with the dolphins - she calls to them, and they respond.  George, too...

Yes, we had plenty of time on our own with the dolphins...

We are out here for the sheer enjoyment of seeing these wonderful mammals.  Down here, this is not our job - we make it a point to stay clear of the folks doing this for a living.  We have all the time we want; no schedule.  We saw a couple dolphins jump about 8 feet in the air!  You'll have to trust me on that - I was driving, Joan had put down the camera to just enjoy the viewing.  Sometimes you get interesting shots...

And sometimes you get the splash where the activity was a few seconds prior...

Joan got out our lunch and we meandered - just nice to be out in this gorgeous weather...

A few clouds moved in on the northern horizon, but nothing came of it.

Oh yeah, and there were birds galore...

Nice way to spend the afternoon.

With the boat back at the dock, we had some shopping to do.  Well, it wasn't a must, but I wanted to get some fuel for the boat, we needed some AAA batteries, and Joan wanted to check the after Christmas bargains:

6 rolls of gift wrap
5 packs of gift bags
4 strings of lights
3 triple-A batteries
2 bags of bows
and a frozen pizza for me

:-)
