A quiet sunset walk...

We had lunch with Steph and Dan today; it is her birthday eve, and she picked their favorite Mexican restaurant.  Good food, nice to visit with them... we haven't seen as much of them this week.

As the sun set, Izzy wanted to go for a walk.  It was quiet outside, just the way Iz likes it when she walks.  That lasted for about 3 seconds, then a noisy diesel pickup pulled up, apparently to visit with our neighbor across the street.  For some reason, the driver didn't turn off the truck... we just listened to them hollering to hear each other over the diesel.

Izzy couldn't understand why they had to make all that noise...

Yes, about 10 minutes later, one of those noisy side-by-side quads pulled up to join the conversation.  Loudly.

Looking one direction, the sunset...

Another pretty, painted sky.  Looking the other direction, this month's full moon...

For those keeping track, the March full moon is the Full Worm Moon.  Eight days before the vernal equinox, the start of the spring season.  The moon will be at its fullest tomorrow morning, so a bit of full moon tonight and tomorrow.

The reason for "Full Worm Moon": the frozen ground of the winter begins to soften, earthworm casts begin to appear, and that invites the robins.  Yeah, I'm a romantic like that.  ;-)

Oh, I did finally say to those guys in the pickup and the quad: "If you shut your engines off, you wouldn't have to holler to hear each other - we could all have some peace and quiet."

Oh.
