Just gorgeous...

Easily the nicest day in the week we've been back - low humidity, crisp blue sky, a nice breeze, high around 80º, and... did I mention: low humidity?? Still working on chores around here, but mid-afternoon Joan said, "Put some water onboard the boat, and we can take it out to check out the water systems."

"Deal!"

She let me know this was "a working trip," but it just felt SO good, being out on the boat and enjoying this ideal weather. We stopped for fuel; buying it in smaller quantities so we don't have to haul a bunch of fuel when we head out. The water was gorgeous, that deep blue-green color...

and hardly any other boats when we were out. The big crowds of the last week are gone. We did get waked by this guy...

Yeah, that's a Coast Guard boat. They came up close on our port quarter, looking us over. I expected to get boarded, but they just sat back there for a few minutes. Then, put the coals to it as they passed us... rock 'n roll!

Water system checked out OK, still more to do to get the boat ready. Coming back in, this guy kept a close watch on us...

Checked out the lights at the dock - all good. And this evening, we are able to have the patio door open; first time since we've been back that the air conditioner isn't running. I'd say we're acclimating, but I don't really think so, yet.
