In the words of the philosopher Kenny Rogers...

You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.

Today will be a "hold 'em" day, but not in the sense of a good hand... Mother Nature is threatening severe storms all along our intended path today, so we will hold up in this RV park until tomorrow.  We have no reservations along our route, plan to wander our way to Branson... if the weather allows.

Springtime in the middle of the country (especially the southern half) can be... interesting.  Seeing the forecast for strong winds, thunderstorms and hail potential, a possibility of tornadoes... yeah, we've been out there in that, don't need to do it again.

Keeping an eye on the sky.

----------------

Little Izzy is keeping an eye out, too...

It's an Izzy-sized window in the bedroom - apparently a good place to keep an eye on the birds.

---------------

Since we are staying put, we cleaned the front of the motorhome and cargo trailer - many bugs met their demise in the making of this road trip.

The predicted storms for this morning didn't materialize.  We unstrapped the scoots, and headed out for a late lunch.  Italian food - the lunch of champions.  Joan had some kind of a wrap thing - she didn't tell me she wasn't in the mood for pasta until we were looking at the menu.  I made up for that with penne in a gorganzola sauce.

No, Joan didn't go all Hollywood on me...

She was checking out her map app to find the best way back.  The sunglasses are prescription.  With our way back figured out, it was back to the scoots...

We made it back in time to get 'em loaded back in the trailer before the first few sprinkles hit.  The local weather is pretty benign, but everything to the north and east of us looks like someplace we don't want to be.  Good choice to sit tight today.  Plus, I have a happy belly.  ;-)
