Back to the rule...

Mostly intentionally.  The 2/2/2 Rule.

We are down for a couple nights in San Antonio.  I seem to have picked up some kind of stomach bug, so being close to a bathroom is pretty important.  I won't go into any more detail than that (you're welcome), but it is nice traveling with all your amenities with you, including a bathroom.

We have stayed at this particular RV park in the past, and it has always been quiet.  The park is close to Sea World and Fiesta Texas.  Our previous stays here have been in the late fall and winter.  Over Easter weekend, there are quite a few rigs here with young kids.  Not that that is a problem... but having spent the last few months with mostly geezer-types, we are used to a certain amount of... um, quiet.

Right across from us is a Class C... one of those that advertises: "Sleeps 8!"  And apparently, these folks believed that.  There is a constant stream of kids who seem hell-bent on testing the integrity of door latches.  Through the slam-test.  It appears to be a set of Grandparents, a Mom, and 4 or 5 kids.  Hard to count when they are all moving.

Their other vehicle is an SUV that has only 4 doors; yet we hear 18 slams every time they come or go.  They eat outside at the picnic table (and a few extra chairs)... 'cause even though a small RV says it "Sleeps 8," there is no way you can feed that many.  Or, even seat that many.

One of the rules here is "No hanging towels or clothing outside your RV"... keep in mind this place is close to a couple amusement parks.  Think: water rides.  People are going to come back wet.  Our neighbors have a clothes-line stretched between the assist handle by the door and one of the awning brackets.  (Cue the theme song to Sanford & Son)  Clothes and towels are draped over the outside tables and chairs, as well.

No, this isn't a problem, and I'm not ready to open the door and holler, "Get off my lawn, you damn kids!"  Just quite a change from the lifestyle we have been living the past few months.

Not like I am keeping a constant watch on them... but their motorhome is directly out my vantage point through the dinette window.  They are apparently heading to the swimming pool this morning... one of the smaller girls came out of the motorhome in a swimming suit.  She stretched a towel across her shoulders and is running it back and forth... like a burlesque dancer with a feather boa.  Her Mother must be so proud.

Reminds me of the young lady on one of the whale watch boats last summer, who got onboard and was immediately twirling around one of the support posts... and I said, "Honey, I am sure your Momma would not be happy with you spinning around a pole, please have a seat while we get everyone onboard."

But, I digress.  The young girl has been joined by another who looks to be the same age.  No, I don't know where they are all coming from.  Kinda like the clown-car version of an RV.  The two young girls are doing some sort of dance routine that seems to be a combination of doing a cartwheel and twerking.

I am so glad my kid is grown up.
