Meeting people from the internet...

Your Mother warned you.  Yeah, we didn't listen.

Today, we got to meet a couple from the scooter forum where I check in daily.  Dan and Candice are from Michigan and are out here in the Black Hills to enjoy some scooter time... we already have a bunch in common.  ;-)

We met them at the lodge/cabins where they are staying, just outside of Keystone.  After some chit-chat, I think we were all comfortable that the others were at least as normal as we are, and we took them on an intro-ride on some of our nearby favorite roads.

I clipped a camera to my helmet, but with it facing forward and the others riding behind me, it was just the road.  When I switched my camera to face backwards, Candice took the lead - that lady can ride!  But, I was now at the back of the pack... yeah, timing.  I did get a few shots...

Riding "the faves"... Iron Mountain Road, Playhouse Road, S Rockerville Road, and Neck Yoke Road.  We stopped at Highway 16 - everyone was enjoying themselves, so we road some of that same road back to Keystone.  Well, through Keystone and on to Hill City via "the 1880 Train Road."

Nice day, all good riding, we stopped for lunch in Hill City at the Alpine Inn.

Good food, good conversation, and the opportunity to get to know more about each other.  Dan and Candice wanted to look around Hill City, so we said our good-byes, with plans for more riding together in the next few days.

A very nice couple.  All 4 scoots are compatible; so are all 4 people.

Here's a short video of some of today's ride...

So, all that stuff you read about meeting people on the internet?  Yeah, not true.  We were really impressed to find out that Dan is a Nigerian Prince and is going to help us with our financial planning!  LOL

Great report. Meeting "friends" that you have only known online is a real joy! Like the time we met in AZ.

My mother warned me about going to meet Jo and Jerry Hardin because they might be "ax murderers"

Keep posting pics. It is great to see that you are having so much fun.

Uncle Jerry an ax murderer? Next to you, he is the nicest guy we know. ;-) Our daughter was appalled when we had Charlie and Laura stay with us years ago, having never met them in person before.

Dan and Candice are nice folks; just like he seems on the scooter forum.

Glad you're enjoying the posts, Bud - hope you're out riding very soon!
