So, what do you do all day long when you're in the desert? Most days, we are out and about... running errands, trips to the store, lunch out. Just everyday life.
Day two with the scooters found us at Harbor Freight. My saying: Harbor Freight is to guys as shoe stores are to women. Don't get all sexist on me, I'm just kidding around. Besides, Joan really likes Harbor Freight. They had a good selection of riding gloves and clear safety glasses for night-time scootering. Plus, we wandered about. Ran some errands for the kids. And, for us. Lunch at Five Guys. Then, more shopping. We picked up stuff at each stop, and the scooters kept swallowing it... there is a surprising about of storage space in those things.
I kinda felt we needed to get some miles on the scoots today - the weather is supposed to turn tomorrow, with rain, wind and cold. But, it was sunny and warm today - a great day to be bopping around without a schedule. We are getting comfortable with the feel of the scooters... they handled traffic fine, but are most fun at 35 to 40 miles per hour without the rush of a bunch of other traffic.
