Like old times...
When we made our first RV trip south in the winter (from South Dakota), we headed for Mesa, Arizona. A very big deal for us back then was our first time at Camping World.
Camping World used to be to RVers what West Marine is to boaters. Well, many boaters aren't too fond of West Marine these days due to the high prices, but I'm thinking you get the analogy. We were like kids in a candy store back in 1991 in that Camping World. Back then, they were privately owned and sold STUFF for RVs. These days, Camping World is part of the conglomerate that owns Good Sam, various publications, RV sales, and other businesses. The Camping World stores seem to be a side-line for the RV sales.
Over the years, there was less and less that we needed at Camping World. But, today, we made the rounds through the store. First on the want list was a windshield cover for the new motorhome... Joan found what she wanted on Amazon, and less expensive than at CW. But, Camping World had it and we could take it home now. We haven't updated our campground guide book in several years (it used to be an annual purchase for us) - they have the 2015 edition in stock. And a designed-for-RVers road atlas. Yes, the Aspect has a whiz-bang RV-oriented GPS, but it is nice to check out the route (and campgrounds along the way) on paper.
It was kinda like the old days, when we used to stop at every Camping World we came across.
The moving in has progressed well. While there is a lot of stuff in the storage shed on our lot, we have found a place in the Aspect for almost everything.
Supper tonight with Steph and Dan. We are the "housewife," planning to have Steph's favorite (mine, too) - spaghetti - on the table when they get home. We all appreciate Joan's cooking.

At the end of a long day - Joan's cooking sounds good to me too. I wish I was going home to a good plate of pasta! Thanks for the blog, I really enjoy it and am looking forward to hitting the road for longer periods of time a very few years in the future. Thanks again for the pleasure your writing brings!
Thanks for the kind words, Dawn.
