If you said, "And a dollar short," yeah, we were all thinking that, so no bonus points.
I got my full moon shot last night. That's about a day after the actual, but it still looks pretty darn full. And, since Mother Nature didn't cooperate the last two nights, I was happy to get this...
I was heading out to the hot tub when I saw this coming up over South Mountain. A short wait for a soak while I grabbed my camera to get this shot. Pretty striking with this over the mountain, but with the black sky, the black mountain (in the dark), and the bright moon, it is too much contrast for the camera.

Gotta Good Reason...
If you said, "The first line of the song Daytripper, by the Beatles, 1965," you get 20 bonus points. If you said, "It was released as a double A-side single with We Can Work It Out, in December 1965," you get an additional 20 bonus points. If you asked, "What's a double A-side single?" you lose 40 bonus points. If you asked, "A single what?", you need to study up on 45 rpm vinyl records. If you don't know what a 45 rpm vinyl record is, you should not be reading this blog. Seriously - go back to your Mom's basement and play your video games and watch your Ticky-Tock video things.
Whew, sorry... damn whippersnappers.
Back to the point here: being a "daytripper." If you said, "She's a big teaser!" you can stay, but let's focus here, OK? We haven't been out in the van for a while. We took it to lunch, then did a drive up South Mountain...
"South Mountain? Where your ride your motorcycle and scooter all the time?" Yes, indeed - you have been paying attention. This is the first time we've taken a 4-wheel vehicle up South Mountain. We have driven the van on twisty roads before, but the main road up South Mountain is twisty and narrow - I wanted to see how the van would do. Answer: no problem; it is possible to drive a larger-than-car size vehicle on this road without crossing the center-line, and we were able to drive the speed limit with no problem.
We were quite impressed with all the saguaro cacti blooming...
I thought this was later than usual, but in researching it: "Saguaro cacti typically bloom in the late spring to early summer, with peak blooming usually occurring in late May and early June. The flowers open at night and typically close the following day. Saguaro flowers are white with a yellow center and are pollinated by bats, birds, and insects." So, right on time.

.... she took me half the way there.... I certainly remember 45's but mostly I think "caliber" when the phrase 45 is mentioned.
Good to see the day tripping in the van. The puppy sitting yesterday was cute too. I identified all *five* animals in the photo (including you).
In the words of the philosopher The Elephant Man: "I am not an animal." Well, you've seen me eat, so there's that. Regarding the puppy sitting: I like dogs, but I am most certainly a cat person these days. Dicha is cute and sweet. But, she is in that puppy stage that requires a lot of attention and monitoring. I was quite impressed with how she did with basic commands at such a young age.
I enjoy driving the van - it is more pleasant than our previous motorhome, and I like the driver's perspective in it. There are situations that require us to be around home at times this summer, so the options for getting away are in smaller blocks. We'll see how that plays out.
As far as caliber, I'm more about 9mm these days; not sure how that works on a turntable, though. ;-)
I love any reference to the Beatles! At one time, I had 26 Beatles albums.
You are way ahead of me, Howard - in my younger years, I couldn't afford to buy albums... I think it was up to the point of 8 tracks and cassette tapes before I owned much music. I am a big Beatles fan, as well: the Beatles Channel on Sirius/XM is my favorite!
