Thanks for asking. This furry boy is more timid than his predecessor - Rufus thought anyone who came withing sight was there to see him, and he wanted to brighten their day. Murphy is more concerned that anyone out there is a cat killer. It will take time for him to become more worldly. He did fine in the motorhome last summer, but was always cautious. The van is a whole new experience, and a re-introduction to the sights and sounds of being on the road.
He did pretty good overnight. I expected him to sleep like a log, since he didn't get in any cat naps yesterday. He wandered around a bit, checking out all the nooks and crannies, of which there are many in this van. He spent time laying by each of us at different times; that is a bit different for him, since he prefers to lay by Joan at home.
His appetite is not up to normal. He finished all his food during the night, but was not excited for breakfast this morning. He was a bit anxious as Joan and I worked through our morning routines.
It will be a short travel day today, so maybe he'll get some napping in. In the meantime, here are a few photos from this morning...
"That isn't our yard, Dad - can you do something about that?" (above) Out on the picnic table...
Murph hasn't learned to "find the light," yet. He's more about "find the shadows." ;-)
Back inside, and a close-up...
We'll head out soon, with a stop for breakfast. Then, on to Sedona.
