Steph and Dan had a graduation to go to last night. It took some doing, but we were able to convince Steph that we could take care of Dicha while they were away for a few hours. "We are not going to break your dog."
"I'm more concerned that the dog might break you."
Dicha is 13 weeks old, so a very young puppy. She needs to be on a fairly tight schedule for potty duties to prevent accidents. Hey, me, too. But, I digress.
Dan had to work late, so Steph came home with the pup, fed the cats (I offered to do that, as well), and gave us "last minute instructions" before she left. The pup didn't poop before Steph left, so I was entrusted with that. I won't show you the photo evidence, but I did send the photo to Steph. I took the pup outside every 45 minutes until she pooped, then an hour and a half break for a #1. I also worked with her for the commands she is learning... she is a smart girl.
In the meantime, we brought Murph to Steph and Dan's house, 'cause our furry boy likes to be with us. That meant we had 4 cats to keep an eye on, too. It was a lot.
Time for some belly rubs...
Joan brought the stroller into the living room, hoping it would be a distraction for the cats; Tango really likes the stroller - he hopped up into it on his own...
That gave us a break from refereeing the activity between Tango and Murphy - they are boys and they seem to enjoy rough-housing. Sweet Tasha went into the bedroom, saying, "Yeah, I don't need all this ruckus." And Alfie, their special needs boy, sat behind me on top of the couch most of the evening.
We sent this photo to Steph to show proof of life: "Can you find the 4 animals in this photo?"...
Steph and Dan were home before 9:30. So, just a bit over 4 hours on the job for us. Steph thanked me for working with Dicha out in the yard during the evening... I didn't say anything about that, but she saw it on their patio camera.
And, we didn't break their dog.

I was hoping to get a photo of the Full Flower Moon last night after we got home. That didn't happen - too much cloud cover again. It's the moon, we all know what it looks like. I just enjoy the challenge of getting the photo once in a while. Maybe next month.

Music with the guys today. And a break from the triple digit temperatures; only supposed to be 89º in Laveen today.
The music session today was a real pleasure: we took turns picking songs, everybody had input; good music and good friends.
And the traffic there and back was unusually light - I should go buy a lottery ticket.
