A lot of responsibility...

With Steph and Dan gone overnight, I'm on duty for cat care.  Their special needs furry boy needs meds at each meal; yes, I am trained for that.  They also get a probiotic and some other powder (I think it builds strong bodies 12 ways... no, that's Wonder Bread).  Plus, everybody needs some people-type attention, even if Tasha (their Grande Dame) pretends like she doesn't.

I was up early to take care of that.  Joan brought Murphy over, so that made 4 cats... to be herded.

I take photos and put captions to them to give Steph "proof of life" when I feed their cats.

Then back to our house (it took some persuading to get Murph to come home) to get Murphy fed, put out pills and vitamins for the humans, then make my morning hot chocolate.  Yes, I live a full life.  In a first, Joan took Murphy out for his morning walk while I finished my morning routine.

After we clean up, I need to get gear ready to go; the Brothers MIM and the Hip Replacements are playing at a private party at Ron's this evening.

Before that, our neighborhood community is having a Spring Fair at the park here, and as HOA board president, I am expected to be there.

Then, come home and feed cats before loading that gear into the car and heading to Ron's.  Unloading gear, setting up, playing for 3 hours, tearing down, loading, drive back home, unload, feed Murphy, and see if Steph and Dan have brought home a new puppy.

Busy, busy.

Now that's retirement done *right*. I am taking inspiration from your example. We have a running joke taken from a long-ago comic strip: "only two, seems like more". Yesterday was one of those days where each cat decided to become demanding of attention. Duke does not get along with Lucy, but that does not mean that hey are NOT somehow in cahoots.

You know they are working together to dominate the humans!
