No, I didn't start a new job.
I took Joan out for lunch and a stop at Costco. Lunch at Olive Garden... yes, I know some people say, "Olive Garden is like the McDonalds of Italian food." We like it. And always pick up a couple more entrees for a quick supper down the road.
It was our waiter's first day. It was clear that he had studied, but you could see he was still a bit nervous. We had to remind him of a couple things, but he did fine - and seemed genuinely concerned that we were happy with the meal and the experience.
Everybody has to start somewhere.
I just needed a pair of lounging pants, the reason for our stop at Costco. Joan found other things that we will probably go back for another day. IF they still have what she looked at... one never knows if something will still be in stock when you go back. Buy it now, or "take the chance."
