Can you clone a cat?

Sure.  The technology exists.  But, just because it looks the same, doesn't mean it will have the same personality.

Why am I even bringing this up?  Thanks for asking.  Little Izzy may be the cutest darn cat I've ever seen.  Yes, I am biased.  When Joan first saw Isabella in the shelter (that wasn't her name then), those two had an immediate connection.  Izzy was cute in a scraggly, scrawny, malnutritioned, sorta way.  Joan was able to see beyond that.

Once we brought her home, Isabella flourished... blossomed into the pretty girl she is currently.  Just a little bit ago, Joan said to me, "You have got to see this..."

It is a photo of a cat up for adoption at the Harlingen Humane Society.  Not the most flattering angle, but it sure looks a LOT like Izzy.

I said, "Why are you looking at cats on the internet??

Joan said, "You should send a note to Nancy," (our friend in Harlingen) who frequently comments about how cute Izzy is.  "I was looking for the Island Breeze, and it took me to the Harlingen newspaper, the Valley Morning Star.  This photo was on the opening page."

OK, that seems reasonable.  We are a one-cat family.  So, Nancy, if you are reading this... ;-)

There is something to be said, though, for nature AND nurture.
