There are some things you just can't get in a small town. OK, there are a lot of things you can't get in a small town... but, the internet makes all shopping possible. :-) With the temperature and humidity in the music room pretty stable, the guitars are just as happy out as they'd be in their cases. And, it's a lot easier to take my pick and pull it down...
It's a small room; getting the guitars up on the wall makes it roomier, too. Those guitar wall mounts arrived by UPS.
A little later this afternoon, FedEx showed up: a Smart Plug connector and a solar exhaust fan for Wild Blue. I need to get a hole-saw to install the fan, but I went to work on the Smart Plug connector...
While in Friday Harbor, an electrical arc left a burn on our 30 amp electrical cable and where it connects at the boat. We replaced that with a Smart Plug - it's a better connector... but, it meant we had to put out our heavy cable even if we were just plugging into a 15 amp circuit like we have at home (and in some campgrounds). It just seemed more efficient to put a Smart Plug connector on a heavy 15 amp cable - less cable sitting in the cockpit, less temptation for someone on a "copper hunt."
Pretty straightforward with the wiring, but I had to push a heavy cable through that snug black opening (thus the dish soap above). Then, the wiring...
The toughest part was pushing a short bit of cable back through that skinny opening after the wiring. All put together and out to the boat to give it a try... it works. No light on the reverse polarity - all is good.
The wind finally started easing up a bit today. A decent, but overcast, day in the 70s. Right now, it almost feels calm out, with the wind only blowing about 15. ;-)
