More "messing about in boats" today. I took out all the batteries to see if there might be a dead cell in one of them. Nope. All are holding a charge fine. None were short on water. All of 'em weigh a ton... of course, I'm rounding off - more like a ton and a half. Fun exercise when the sun is pounding into the cockpit. Joan tried to rig some canvas to keep the sun off me, but it didn't help. With a goodly amount of swearing, sweating, and knuckle busting, the batteries are all sitting in the cockpit.
We have a Guest charger that was replaced once under warranty. It "sometimes" is willing to charge both banks. Solid state, it is supposed to be a "smart charger"... I think ours is quite a few IQ points short of smart. I also suspect that the battery switch may be part of the problem. It is mounted in a spot inside a rear compartment that will require the help of a double-jointed ape and dynamite to get it out.
It was already around 80º this morning while pulling the batteries.
