Today, my buddy, Harvey, from the C-Dory folks, responded to me about the guitars... "Don't let that get you too far away from Wild Blue now." I let him know that I can (and do) play guitar while on the boat. ;-)
We would have taken the boat out this morning, but the was was gusting to 35 mph. Yes, Wild Blue can handle that, but the ride wouldn't be much fun, plenty of dirt/sand blowing in the air, and it would take even longer than normal to clean all that salt spray off the boat.
We did, however, get some boat time in this afternoon. The wind is still blowing (down to the mid-20s)... the 3 of us went out to the boat to just spend a little time on her. Little Izzy hasn't been on the boat since we got back - the first thing she did was look for her food and water bowls and sniff around the compartment door where her private potty is normally located. We listened to some satellite radio, played Yahtzee, talked about some upcoming boat mods, and just enjoyed being "marina people" again... well, at our own dock, not a marina.
The exterior is dirty from the sand/dirt in the wind, but the interior was clean and comfortable. The temperature was around 70ยบ thanks to this windy cold front. With the wind coming from the bow, we had the screen on the cabin door, and just enjoyed being out, without going out.
She's a great boat. :-)
