About Us
- Captain Jim and the Blonde
- Now based in Arizona, coast to coast, United States
- We retired in 2006. Since then, we spent a few years traveling on our boat, Wild Blue. Coast to coast to coast. Now traveling by land in our Roadtrek Class B campervan, and newly based out of Arizona. A while back, I published a book about our travel adventures with Molly the Boat Cat; Cat On A Leash is available in paperback and all eBook formats. Molly taught us a lot. After Molly, there was 9 great years with the sweetest cat ever, Izzy (Isabella); our little supermodel feline. Our hearts were broken when her time came, and then our big boy, Rufus - another shelter rescue, with a wonky ear, a great attitude, and so happy to have found "his people." Rufus lived a big life, but too short. The new, new kid is Murphy - shorter hair, different personality - he is learning to be a travel cat. Eight years of "fun summer jobs" took us to some great places to be in the summer. Now, appreciating being gainfully unemployed. And getting out on our bikes. And the van. Still anxious to see what is over the horizon.

Lick, lick, lick.... chomp. Thus it has always been with our kitties. I enjoyed the added sound track too.
104° here officially yesterday. I think we were a couple of degrees warmer than PHX. This morning a strong thunderstorm just moved through, adding humidity for today's 98° high. Yay....
Hi Earl - Eight months into being a two-cat family, and these two are good together. They will eat side-by-side, nap together on the couch, and are mostly playful together.
Into monsoon season here, with higher humidity. This morning, right after a rain, the temperature was 79º, the humidity 78%. Now, if there was a bit of salt air, I might feel more at home. ;-)
I got my bike ride in after the t-storms. I gave it some time to dry but still was dodging puddles on the street. At 0920 it was 84° and over 50% RH - pretty warm and humid for this area. Heading for 98° later.
As written on the back of almost every high school senior wallet-size photo: "Stay cool!" ;-)
