Well, the days don't qualify as "short," yet; especially this far north. We traveled about 120 miles today, to Alexandria Bay - very close to a bridge that crosses into Canada (at the St. Lawrence River/Seaway).
Little Izzy enjoyed that last park - other than over the 1st and 2nd, she has had plenty of room to "roam"... as much as a cat on a leash roams.
"Will I get to walk at the next place?" she asked.
"I think so, Iz; it looks pretty nice on their website."
Back roads on the first part of our travels today. It wasn't long before a pickup and a BMW sportscar blew around us on the double yellow line...
Kinda makes me homesick. ;-) Not much traffic on the road today...
Going through one small town - low bridge ahead!
12' 11", so not low for us. We would not have fit under that with the HitchHiker.
I thought we made a wrong turn when I saw Mexico...
Nope, right on course. The last half of today's drive was on the Interstate...
I remember when the rest areas were all about having a place to pee - now, it is about being able to text (while NOT driving)...
More decent road; not much traffic. Pleasant driving. We pulled into the next RV resort around 1:00. This place is new, and qualifies (to me) as a resort: it is an RV park and marina. The RV sites are level and paved. The trees are around the perimeter (no interference with satellite TV). A pool. Rental boats. And an interesting feature: a PriceChopper on the property. (For those not familiar, PriceChopper is a grocery chain here). Convenient.
Didn't take us long to park and get set up...
We even get the local channels we had at the last place on our Dish receiver. And, good Verizon data speeds...
I could move in here. ;-) Or, stay for 5 nights, like we booked.
Time to get out and explore the rest of the park and the local area.
