Decisions...

Our week at this park is up tomorrow.  Time to thing about moving on.  Laundry this morning, then some planning.  Contacting some RV parks down the road, it sounds like Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are not the only places that are crowded.  We found some places to be, but need to get this weekend out of the way... so, we upped our stay here for a few more days.

There are still some bike trails that we haven't covered.

Izzy got to enjoy some quiet time outside...

A lady asked about "How do you get the kitty to be so well-behaved on a leash?"

"It takes patience," I told her, "But, fortunately, little Izzy is very patient with me."  ;-)

We decided to take on the crowds and go into Bar Harbor for lunch at the place on the pier again.  Joan had a lobster roll, I had meat.

While walking to the restaurant, we heard the excursion boat place announce on the loudspeaker that their afternoon trips were being canceled due to fog.  Certainly less than this morning...

While dining, we saw this boat at the nearby dock...

Mrs. B... well, that would work for us.

After lunch, we decided to walk around town (Joan wanted to get a Bar Harbor shirt).  We walked up from the waterfront several blocks, in and out of the stores.  Every place we went into was packed, as were the sidewalks.  By this point, I should be over the shock of how busy this area is.

While Joan looked for what she wanted, I entertained myself by looking at the dumb sayings on shirts.  You may be familiar with the "Life is good" line of shirts... a store here had "Life is Crap" shirts...

This one made me chuckle...

A bit of camera movement there, so: "When I was a kid, my social network was called 'Outside'."  You would think there would be a limit on how many ways you can put "Bar Harbor" on a shirt... you would be surprised.

Walking back to the car (yes, we drove ourselves in instead of taking a shuttle), we could see that the fog had pretty well lifted.  This boat went out, even if the whale watch and scenic tour boats didn't...
