Hunter or Harvest...


The full moon.  The Harvest moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox; the October full moon is also called the Hunter's Moon.  Other names are: the Dying Grass Moon or the Travel Moon.  The actual time the moon is at its fullest this month is October 5th at 1:40 pm... so, tonight or tomorrow night will be the best viewing.

When I first went out to get a photo, there was a low scuddy layer of clouds.  Too thick to see the moon.  A few minutes later, I got a quick glimpse...


The clouds were moving fast, and about 10 seconds later, it was obscured.   Back out to check it 15 minutes later, and there was a decent opening in the clouds and...

I can tell there's a Full Moon by the Actions of some People..
It was pretty bright outside last night around these parts-- Cristal Clear Sky..

(Some) People get a bit crazy during the full moon. I think there's something to this.

I have asked Cops about it-- They said there's no doubt that they get more busy during a Full Moon..

Ask a bouncer in a bar. Mix alcohol, a full moon, and those of the asshole persuasion, and you have a melee. ;-)
