If you said, "Neil Sedaka, 1961," you get 50 bonus points. If you said, "I wasn't born until 10 years after that," get off my lawn ya damn whippersnapper!
Cat calendars are a thing in our household. Joan has her favorite type, with a large square new cat image for each day. While I have never sent any Isabella photos to this calendar company, she is certainly photogenic enough.
Today's cat calendar image has a fine-looking long-hair cat with a red scarf...
A fine looking feline. Not Izzy cute, though. Little Izzy was looking at the calendar...
"Am I pretty enough to be on a calendar?"
"Yes, Izzy you are very pretty!"
"Should I have a scarf?"
"Well, if you want a scarf, your Momma will make you a scarf"...
"Of course, it will be a cute teal to match your harness - it is important to accessorize."
:-)
Today is National Mount the Solar Screen Day... we like to participate in these fiesta-type holidays, 'cause that's how we roll. With the storm door glass on the work table (some of you may recognize that as my guitar work bench or the kitchen island - along with accessorizing, it is important to multi-purpose), she is ready to go to work...
Imagine putting a 73" long x 33" wide piece of sticky material on that glass. And I helped. A little bit. Yes, partially by staying out of the way, but also in maneuvering that sheet of solar film before setting it on the glass. Then, Joan trimmed it and squeegeed it out until smooth...
Give it some time for the soapy water to dry (you spray it on the glass and the sticky material to allow you to position it properly), and this should cut the light getting to our front door by about 80%.
With this done, I think we will be back to some play days! :-)
