Whether, weather, or wether...
Do you know the difference?
Whether: a conjunction, often used to express doubt or a choice between alternatives.
Weather: the state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc.
Wether: a castrated ram. He probably doesn't care whether the weather is good or not.
A change in the weather today. We had considered a trip to the storage unit to get the coach out to get a state inspection so we can renew our license plates. There is a front that is supposed to come in today, possibly bringing rain. I don't want to take the motorhome out in the rain, because it is a lot of work getting it all shined up again. The hourly forecasts showed that the precip chance would happen sooner at our storage unit than here on the coast.
Maybe another day.
It was still, warm, and humid this morning - before we made the decision to scrap the trip to the storage unit. I went out early to put the cover on the boat...
Surprisingly, it did rain a few hours later.
So, a day off from running around. Joan always keeps busy - besides cooking and doing laundry, she made Rice Crispy treats for me. Izzy and I stayed out of the way and caught a power nap...
She has plenty of room on that tower, but sometimes likes to lay cross-wise on it. Because she can.
Late afternoon, and the front has moved south. Not much precip so far, but we now have wind from the north at 20, gusting to 26. I'm calling this an early season norther. The high tomorrow is only going to be 65º. It was originally supposed to be a one-day event, now that it has moved in, the weasels are calling the spotty precip to last through Sunday. Quite a forecast change.
It has been quite warm lately... tomorrow's forecast: a high of 65º, a low of 64º; rain.
In the words of the philosopher Jimmy Buffett: "The weather is here, wish you were beautiful. ;-)
