Another item checked off...

The motorhome has been put into covered storage...

It's a 40' site - wanting to put the cargo trailer in with the motorhome, we knew it would be close.  Close enough that we had to disconnect the trailer and put it at the back of the site at an angle that would allow us to get the motorhome just into the site...

We went to the RV park, dumped black and gray tanks, then emptied all the water lines and water heater.  Apparently, they do experience winter here in the Valley of the Sun, including temperatures that get below freezing.  Not anytime soon, hopefully.

We put away all the utilities, then headed off to the storage place.  It is about 20 miles from the house - the closest we could find something that was nice, covered, and secure.  Storage is a big business here, so I won't be surprised if something pops up closer in the next year.

The motorhome served us well this year: we spent about 7 months in it.  We have been in Arizona a month now, but in the house just 10 days.  Joan is convinced it is going to be a while before we go out in the coach again.  We'll see.  I happen to know we'll be taking it out in a few days... to take it to the DMV.  To show them it is a Winnebago.  What's that?  Yes, a bureaucratic waste of time.
