Back To Riding...

A beautiful day, we were both ready for some riding.  It has been a week, between getting the flat tire fixed and Mother Nature giving us a preview of winter... but today was sunshine and in the 70s.

We did wait until noon(ish) to let it warm up.  We geared up and headed out...

I used the 360 and the 4k modules today on the Insta360 One R, but today was more about the riding than the image capture.

We rode our "usual" down Iron Mountain Road and through Custer State Park.

Not a lot of traffic, which surprised me - after 5 days of cold, rain, and snow, I expected there would be more people needing to get out.  It was cool today, with a feel of fall in the air.  That will change over the next two days, as summer is supposed to reappear, but we were enjoying this.  Even noticing some of the trees are starting to change.  We rode through the park and into the town of Custer; gassed up and stopped at Subway for a late lunch (they had tables outside).  Then, back to the ride...

I probably shouldn't have said anything about the traffic - we got caught behind several slow moving vehicles once back to Iron Mountain Road...

We made the decision ahead of time: if the slow moving minivan goes straight, we'll turn onto Playhouse Road; if they turn, we'll go straight on Iron Mountain Road.  Both are great riding... when you don't have to go 15mph less than the 35mph speed limit.  Apparently, some people think this great riding road is also real scenic, and feel the need to go really slow - go figure.

The rest of the way home, no slow traffic...

One minute and 40 second video, riding the Vespa...

Nice day!
