A rain day...

Well, not a wash-out, more like light rain on and off.  At 5:00 pm, it is sunny.  Still, neither of us wanted to venture out on the scoots.

One of the small struts that holds a cabinet door open (opens up) in the motorhome gave up the ghost... well, no supernatural beings involved, but the rivet holding it together busted, and prior to that it seemed that the light hydraulic action of the strut was wearing out.  It is nothing structural or mechanical, just a convenience item.  And something kinda specific to RVs, since most home cabinetry doesn't have doors that open up.

As an outing, we thought we'd check Menard's (a mid-west store like Lowe's)... even if we don't find a strut (and we didn't), we always find something we didn't know we needed.  After a tasty lunch out at Texas Roadhouse, we swung by the local Harbor Freight; no, they did not have a strut, but we left with a bag full of other stuff and spent a grand total of less than $12 there.

These two places aren't just "guy entertainment" - Joan always finds stuff, too.  Pretty easy (and inexpensive) to keep us entertained.  ;-)
