A new consulting firm...

Could be a group of attorneys, except none of us are lawyers.  Nor do we play one on TV.  More on this coming up.

Today could kinda be a trifecta... depending on your definition of "fun stuff."  Boat and scooter are two of the fun things... the other could be an e-bike ride this morning where no dogs came after me and no dumbasses backed out of their driveway without looking... or: cheese curds!

My morning bike ride went well.  The sky isn't clear blue like the past couple days, but the weather is still lovely.  After breakfast and cleaning up, we went out on the boat.  The aforementioned "not sunny"...

It looks cold, but it was in the mid-70s.  A bit breezy.  Proof...

The scarfs, by the way, are not for cold, but for keeping our necks from getting sunburned.  That selfie was about an hour into our outing, thinking we weren't going to see any dolphins today.

Then...

That was with a telephoto, quite a ways in the distance.  We saw that Scarlet was in the that same area with a boat full...

Some days the dolphins are active above the water, and other days, most of the action is below the water...

They were porpoising around, faster than I've seen them move in quite a while - it makes you appreciate how much power they have.  We were excited to see them, after thinking it wasn't going to happen.

Some tail and fin action, above and below...

This one swam up to and under the boat - too close for me to get it all in the photo...

We headed for home, happy for the encounter.

A change of clothes, and I got the scoots out.  We haven't had cheese curds in a couple weeks - time to do something about that.  The food at Padre Island Brewing Co was good, and we decided to extend our ride out after our meal.  No camera along, just enjoying the ride.

When we got home, Rufus darted out the door as soon as I opened it.  Yes, he is a big boy; no, I did not see him until he was making his move.  We know he is not going to run off.

I said, "That boy is sneaky."

Joan said, "You are slow."

"Sneaky."

"Slow"

I said, "That's kinda snarky."

Our new consulting firm: Sneaky, Snarky, & Slow.  I think it has a real ring to it.  What will we be consulting?  I haven't come up with that, yet.  I just like the name.  Snarky and Slow can be interchangeable, depending on the circumstances, but Rufus possesses cat sneakiness.  (sneakability?)  He did, however, get some time out in the grass, so he is a happy boy.

Any way it works out, it was another fun-filled day.  I put the cover on the boat before the last of the daylight slipped away... the weasels are calling for some windy, then rainy days ahead.
