The last one this decade...

The December full moon - also known as the Cold Moon or the Long Nights Moon.  Self explanatory.  One unique feature of this month's full moon is the high trajectory across the sky, causing it to sit above the horizon for a longer period of time.  When I went outside to shoot this (around 11:00 Wednesday night... official full moon is 11:12 - close enough), it was almost directly overhead.

Our weather has been cold, windy, and overcast the last two days.  This evening, the sky cleared in time to get this photo of the moon...

That clear sky also means it is going to get chilly overnight.  But, warmth is on the way - supposed to be 75º again on Friday.
