Another long driving day, about 40 miles further than yesterday. Nothing unusual besides the cold, just making miles. Steph has continued learning to be a good copilot. No need to do much navigating today: get on the Interstate going north and keep going until you run out of Interstate; the road turns into a Federal Highway, and you stay on that. Stops to fuel, pee, and get a bite to eat. We are down for the night in an RV park and it is going to be cold... as in: 20º. We stayed comfortable last night at 29º, but I think Mother Nature is just testing me. On the bright side: no headwind. In fact, enough of a quartering tailwind to get 9 mpg again today. Yes, for this coach, that is good.
The local TV stations are calling for a "Winter Storm Warning"... starting Thursday. We will be out of here tomorrow morning, with that weather coming in behind us. In order to avoid the snow, we will have to show up at the Winnebago Factory Service facility a day early, and I OKed that with them. If all goes as planned, they will pull it in on Friday, probably covered in snow. No problem, as long as we get there on Thursday. Hey, no pressure... just keep rolling.
I was hoping to get two days visiting my brother-in-law, John, but that will have to be just one so we hopefully don't have to drive in the snow. We'll see how it plays out.
