During the winter months, it has been called "Trash to Treasures" - a community wide flea market held in our Event Center. Rent a table space, bring your stuff, and try to sell it off. This is the first summer edition of that and has been named "Fiesta Day."
In the past, we have sold off tools, photo art (when we still had some inventory of that), and whatever we wanted to get rid of. I expected to sell off a bunch of boat stuff we had, but our neighbor bought most of that when we put it out on the dock to sort through it. This time, we will have a bunch of GoPro stuff, the last of the hand tools that are duplicates, a Dremel kit, a folding bicycle, and motorcycle jackets and pants. And probably other stuff I am forgetting.
It's all packed in the car, ready to schlep down there. We'll see how it goes.

In amongst getting stuff ready for this sale, the guy we hired to prime and paint the trim on the house started yesterday. He is a hard-working guy. Still, there is some over-seeing that needs to be done for my peace of mind. Should be done today or tomorrow.

I was call the Fiesta Day sale a success. We sold about 2/3 of the stuff in the first 45 minutes. Other vendors were buying stuff from us. We had several motorcycle jackets there, and I didn't expect them to sell... a young guy told us he just got a motorcycle that his grandfather left to him... you should have seen his eyes sparkle when we came to a deal on the BMW jacket. I felt good about that sale. The drone and the GoPro stuff sold right away. Those were the best $$, but we had a steady stream of stuff that sold after that.
Four trips into the event center to get our stuff in, one trip back to the car when it was over - I am very happy with that.
Back home, the handyman we hired says he is going to stay until the work is finished today. I will be happy to have that task behind us. The work they (he brought two helpers today) are doing looks good. That is the last of what we promised to the new owners.
I think we all need a day or two off. ;-)
--------
And to wrap up the day: after take Rufus out for a walk, I got a solo walk in with the last rays of the day...
