Groundhog Day?

If you said, "The movie starring Bill Murray, 1993 - about the same thing happening over and over again," you get 15 bonus points.

The weather here has been in that same-same cycle.  No, the weather is not going to be the main emphasis of this blog.  But, it has been... unusually hot and humid.  For days.  And days.  And more of the same coming...

Contrary what you might here about Texas, those temps are definitely hotter than usual.  Now, to be fair - those are temperatures for "the Valley," which is inland (and where the TV station is).  It is always cooler at the coast.  Like about 10º or so.  The Valley is having "feels like" temperatures of 115º or more.  With our temps in the 90s, the heat index at the coast is still pretty damn hot.  It was 99% humidity when I got up this morning.  Also, it doesn't cool down as much overnight at the coast, so we have been stuck in that 81º to 82º overnight lows... 79 would be welcome.

We are now less than a week before hauling the bikes north for some good riding.  I have been greatly looking forward to this get-away.  For a bit more weather info: the low this morning in Rapid City (SD) was 51º.  Humidity was 43%  No doubt, it will be warmer when we get there... but we'll get a bit of a reprieve each night.  The high today there will be 75º.  I remember 75º.

We are as prepped as we can be for the move to Arizona.  Some things will have to wait until the U-Haul pods are ready to be filled, in the driveway.  The next order of business (and there's always a "next") is loading the motorhome.  Looking at that forecast above, it's going to be in the heat.
