Someone in the frozen northland left the door open - yesterday it was 82º and a south wind at 25+ mph. About 5:00 am the norther blew in... wind went from the south to the north and got even stronger... gusting above 40 mph. So, that's fun.
I got my "annual blog book" archived; yep, a series of PDFs containing all of 2021's posts. Not sure why, but it's what I do.
Joan did some cooking. Well, Joan always does the cooking. I do the eating. Together, we watched "The Story of Late Night," about all the hosts/shows of late night television. We lived through most of it, so it was a fun walk through all that.
The apple crisp is outstanding. (burp)

Cap - here in Boulder City we are likely going to see below freezing tonight, it was 27 yesterday at the LV airport. We have the Lake Mead influence here at the house so it moderated the lows but even then last night it got down (below 30) to below Chihuahua temps (ChaCha would rather pee her pants than go out when it is that cold, you have to carry her to the back yard and make it clear that no pee/no going back inside). Did you save some apple crisp for breakfast?? All those years of savings negatives and other photo stuff has turned you into a Senior Hoarder, it is incurable and only gets worse as time does on but there is hope, you could open a guitar museum!!! Just kidding. See ya. Bob in Nevada
Hi Bob. No walks for Rufus yesterday, but his don't involve peeing outside. He did stick his head outside when Joan went out once, then said, "Oh, hell no," and hopped up for some lap time. I think there is some apple crisp left, but it will make a good dessert for lunch. As far as the hoarder thing, this is a small house, so everything has to have a place. I am a keeper, Joan is a tosser - it makes for a good balance. Guitars don't count - that isn't hoarding, it is "a collection." ;-)
Today we will go above freezing for the first time in over a week. Most nights our low's have been single digits and daytime highs of maybe 25°. Snow coming later in the week. But we have to expect some winter here in southern Idaho. Plus we would melt in your temps and humidity.
When I get time I'll tell you about Duke, out new cat. We are keeping him and Lucy separate as they both settle into the idea. Cat herding....
Wow, Earl - a new furry family member! We're very happy for you. Keep me posted.
As far as winter: we are looking each day at the weather in the frozen northland, in anticipation of getting the motorhome. Just waiting for "the call."
