Maybe I should say: just aimed at us. It's no secret that I think the owners/management of the RV park we're in is just a big ol' bag of suck. Their "no cargo trailer" rule is stupid. We wound up staying in the "overnight" area, with long skinny pull-through sites, where they decided we could have our cargo trailer. During our time here this season, we've seen other rigs pulling a cargo trailer come and go... not a one of them was an eye-sore, nor were the RVers any kind of problem. Just like us. We paid their monthly rate... which also took some negotiating on Joan's part. In essence, we paid their going rate for a site about half the size of those in the rest of the park... just so we could have our cargo trailer.
Since our plan is to head out tomorrow, Joan let the office know that they need to read our electric meter today. After doing some running, on our way back into the park, Joan went into the office to get the refund on what we paid for electric. She asked about booking a site for next year. She was informed: no cargo trailers, AND no monthly stays in the pull-through area. They can make more money by only renting for the night or the week in the pull-through area. But, really, who would want to stay in these skinny sites for a month or more? Just a good-looking couple from Texas, who doesn't cause any problems, as far as I know. And goodness knows they may be rabble-rousers due to that cargo trailer. In the past, this pull-through area has never been full - this year, during March and early April, it was full more often than not. It is a seller's market.
If they weren't the closest RV park to Steph and Dan's house, we would gladly stay elsewhere... and have over the years, because of their no cargo trailers rule. When we've done that, instead of a 5 to 7 minute drive to their house, we have a 30 to 45 minute drive. And, we get together with them regularly - it's the reason we come here. Location matters.
Joan and the manager here (who doesn't make the rules) are on a first-name basis. When she left today, Joan said, "Well, this may be the last time we stay with you. If I don't see you again, have a nice life." Definitely said in a friendly manner.
We can't book for next winter until June 1st... or June 15th... or July 1st. That rule changes each year, as well. We have time to look around.

The process continues. This morning, before the heat of the day, Joan went to the grocery store, stocking up for the trek home. I washed the motorhome; started around 7:00 am, finished about 9:00. I did get out a ladder to rinse off the roof. But, most of my work was on the ground, with a long-handled brush to get to the higher areas. The clean motorhome and the offensive cargo trailer...
When she returned from the store, Joan offered to give me a haircut. She always does a good job and I was looking a bit scrufty; a shorter coif for the warmer weather ahead.
The patio chairs have been cleaned and packed. Joan put on the new windshield cover she ordered - it is quilted, so should be better insulated than the white vinyl one we bought when we first got the motorhome...
The last of the stuff to go into the cargo trailer has been packed. This evening, after we have supper with Steph and Dan, we'll pull up the patio mat and stash it.
Tomorrow, it will just be the usual RV utility stuff to put away before we roll. Joan is looking forward to getting back home. I am looking forward to getting, then leaving home, so we can get to some good motorcycle/scooter riding for the summer. Rufus just wants to go wherever we are. ;-)
--------
We had supper with Steph and Dan. Then, the tough part: saying our good-byes. They have to get up early to go to work. Real early. So, the hugs and the good-byes this evening. A few tears, probably because none of us knows when we'll be together again. We are glad we made the trek here and will miss them bunches.
