Not me (my turn's coming soon) - it was Rufus's annual check-up this morning. He was a very patient (pun intended) boy; we waited in the car for almost an hour before they got us in...
When they let us know it was our turn, we brought him in and got into an exam room. His weight is about the same as last year. The vet tech asked the usual questions and got a couple shots ready for the vet. Our animal clinic here hasn't had a resident vet for several years, since Dr Julie left. Again, this was someone we haven't seen before, but she seemed good. Of course, it helped that she told Rufus how handsome he is. She said he looks healthy, has a beautiful coat, teeth are good, and we are doing all the right stuff for him. "He walks on a leash? Really? You don't see that too often with a cat."
"He's a very smart boy." Spoken like a proud Cat Dad.
Two shots; we were told to expect some soreness and general lethargy... he's a cat - he has lethargy down to an art. ;-) Kidding, of course; he is decently active. I think the twice-daily walks help.
Back home, a nice treat for Rufus (because he's a good boy), Joan did the prep work so I could make breakfast on the griddle, and we're settled in.
