Play it again, Sam...

If you said, "From the movie Casablanca, 1942, dialog by Humphrey Bogart," you get minus 20 bonus points.  If you said, "No, it was Ingrid Bergman's character who said that," you also lose 20 bonus points.  In fact, nobody in that movie actually said those words.  If you said, "How about: 'Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine',” you get your 20 bonus points back.

"And what does that line have to do with anything?" you ask.  Thanks for asking.  A re-run activity today: out to the storage unit, where we got the last of the stuff that doesn't go in the motorhome, out.  Some went into the garbage, some into our storage unit in town.

It was hot in Harlingen (kinda where our storage unit is located).  I saw 94º, with a "feels like" temperature of: Oh, my God, I'm melting!  It wasn't too bad in the storage unit.  Even better in the motorhome, where I fired up the generator (needed its month exercise) and ran the air conditioner...

With it being as hot as it is, it was refreshing to step into the motorhome and enjoy some a/c...

Looks skinny in there with the slides in.

With the storage unit cleared out and the motorhome back in, we closed things up and headed for home.  The trip there wasn't just to finish emptying the storage unit: we also visited our buddy Sam at his Club, picked up more food for Rufus at PetSmart, a stop at Target, then Chick-fil-A... and then to the storage unit.

Back to PI and a stop at the storage unit there to put a few things in...

We may be close to filling one U-Haul Moving Pod with this stuff.  One more for what's left in the house... well, that's the plan.  We continue to work our plan.  Still waiting to hear from the title company for the closing.

One of the things we took out of the storage unit...

One of the small folding bikes we carried on the boat when we were cruising.  We had two of these, but after we got the e-bikes, these just sat; one in the storage unit and one in the storage area under our house.  I gave away the one that had been under the house.  This one, I will try to revive and take it with us when we go north this summer... and then find someone to give it to before we leave from there.  The e-bikes will go with us when we move to the desert.  Again, that's the plan.

It was a real effort to unfold the bike to see what kind of shape it was in.  The tires were flat, it was mucho grubby, and the chair was like a chunk of rebar.  I put some air in the tires to see if they would hold - so far, so adequate.  I sprayed down all the moving parts with some chain lube (yes, giving extra to the actual chain) and I'll work on it tomorrow.  After I've had a chance to re-hydrate.  10º cooler here at the coast.
