Rufus likes to smell my breath after a meal. Today, that happened after lunch at Russo's Italian Restaurant on SPI. Most often, we get take out pizza there, and it my favorite. Today, Joan wanted to go out and suggested Russo's. It isn't the pizza or the chicken parm (our choice today) that was heavy on the garlic - it was the dipping stuff for the bread they bring you before the meal.
I'm sure I will suffer for it, but it hurts so good! And Rufus likes my breath.
On the way home, the Equinox was in need of fuel. Joan checked Gas Buddy, and it looked like H.E.B. in PI had the best price on premium (because of the turbo, the Equinox likes premium). It is always about 50¢ per gallon more than regular...
Imagine my surprise when I saw this at the pump...
I checked with the attendant: they are having a problem "with a sensor" so only the premium is pumping. Rather than shut down the station, they are selling premium for the price of regular... or, as the attendant put it: "It's a good deal for you!"

That is a good deal. Driving between Boise and Tucson week before last, the prices were $3.89 for 87 in Boise and at the major highway truck stops. In PHX everything was $5.00-$5.15. Tucson was a little better at $4.45-$4.79. I have not seen sub-$3.00 gas since you-know-who was in office.
We talked with Steph this evening - gas prices there in Phoenix were $2 per gallon higher than what we paid!!?? I'm thinking we can afford to drive TO Phoenix, but probably not IN Phoenix. :-0
