We went to Steph and Dan's rental house around 4:00 this afternoon. From there, it was off to Laveen for our (Jim & Joan's) first look at the new house...
A video "look around"...
It is about 2 weeks away from when we will get the keys. The last time we saw this, it was an empty lot. Steph and Dan have been sending us weekly progress photos, but it is different to actually walk through it ourselves. It is all coming together.
The 4 of us are going to a Home Show tomorrow, where there will be an opportunity to visit with various landscapers and patio builders. Maybe check out some hot tub options. Our plan is for some "outdoor living" with a nice view of South Mountain. We each have ideas for how we want to do the back and side yards - a pergola or two to provide shade for cooking and seating areas, pavers to create patio areas, maybe some turf (artificial - no plan to try to grow grass here in the desert).
