We have been here at Cotton Lane RV Resort (using that term loosely) for 10 days now. With so much to do, last night was the first opportunity we had to sit out on the patio for a bit. The sun was on the other side of the motorhome and quickly heading for the horizon. I got my HoverAir X1 drone (flying camera) out to show the RV site we are in, and Joan brought Rufus out. It's the first the big furry boy has been out to just sit - we get a couple walks in (morning and evening), but he has been doing his lounging inside, in the air conditioning. Mother Nature gave us a day where it didn't get above 100º - only got to 94º today.

I took a couple minutes to shoot some video with the HoverAir X1 to show the RV site in this "pull-through" area...
These sites are skinny! Shortly after shooting that video, a dually pickup pulling a 44' 5th wheel pulled into the site where I was standing to shoot that orbit clip. We had to pull the awning in for him to squeeze into his site. There are plenty of empty sites in this "transient" area, and they could have given him something easier to fit in... but, this is how they operate here. The folks in that huge 5th wheel are just here for the night. The premise in this pull-through area is that it is for people who aren't staying long term. They have nightly and weekly rates for the sites, but I had to plead with them to be able to stay here for a month. On the bright side, this will be the last time I'll have to deal with them. But, I digress.

And speaking of "less than 100º," the 7 Day Forecast looks beautiful...

One more tasked checked off the list this afternoon: we nailed down covered storage for the motorhome. We couldn't find any covered storage close to the new house, so we expanded our search area. It is set up for RV storage, with electric available at each site (20 amp, so enough to get the fridge going when we're ready to head out for a trip), a sewer dump, and an RV wash station. Gated. I will really miss that big enclosed storage unit we had in Texas, but this will do... we have a secure place to keep the motorhome after we move into the new house.
