Being People...

That's what I call it when we aren't in the middle of "a project."  And since we decided to sell our Texas house and move to Arizona, it has been 6 months of mostly projects.

Today, we are taking "the day off"... no driving, no carrying boxes, no deadlines.

Adjusting to jet-lag: I was awake this morning at 4:30 am.  Yesterday, where we were located, it would have been 6:30.  I went back to bed around 7:00; I may have napped for a few minutes when the big furry boy let me know it was time for our morning walk.  He is not subtle.

We cleaned up and went to Waffle House for breakfast.  I admit it: I like Waffle House.  The food is decent and fast.  We have chores for the day, just to make things easier for us when we get to Phoenix tomorrow: Joan is doing laundry; I am in charge of vacuuming and shaking rugs.  Then, it will be "chill time."  Because tomorrow will come soon, and there will be projects once again.  Many, many projects.

I carried some stuff to the laundromat, then went for a short soak in the hot-tub.  This RV park has a very nice pool area.  Everything seemed very clean and tidy.  I was the only one in the pool area until Joan came out to enjoy the lovely morning.  Another guy got into the hot-tub just before I was ready to get out.  With the jacuzzi tub in the Texas house, I haven't felt the need to use a public hot-tub.  After having fresh clean water at just the temperature I like, it is hard to go back to chemicals in the water (necessary to keep things clean and safe).  Even so, it was a very pleasant soak.

This RV park certainly qualifies as a resort.  It is a KOA that is connected with Lazy Days RV Sales in Tucson.  We have been staying here on our way through for years; before Lazy Days owned the property, when it was still Beaudry RV (defunct).  It continues to improve.  Back in the day, we did a rally or two here... when Beaudry would provide meals and meeting rooms for rallies.

We are in an end site...

Plenty big enough for our motorhome.  As a KOA now, they have many different levels of RV sites, with differing amenities: sites that have a dog run on the site, sites that are covered from the sun (that's the structure behind our rig, which is also solar panels), sites that have a BBQ and a hammock, casita s  n   ites (that have a small cabin), a couple sites that have a two-level patio (in case you want to look down on the peasants who are in a regular site).  Back-in sites and pull-through sites.  Regular size sites and big-rig sites.  And each of those has a different rate.

We are about 2 1/2 hours from the RV park where we'll have the motorhome for a month or so.  No RV parks close to the new house, so it will be a 30-40 minute drive.  Tomorrow, we won't have to be in a hurry to vacate this site, since it is reasonably close.
