Workin' for a livin'...

"Did you get a job, Jim?"  I have a job, thank you: trophy husband and arm candy.

And if you said, "Huey Lewis and the News, 1982," you get 20 bonus points.

No house-related stuff to do today, but plenty to keep us occupied: Joan did laundry; I dumped and refreshed tanks, shook rugs, vacuumed, and took Rufus for a walk.  We are all looking forward to getting into the new house, where we can do laundry as we want and not have it be a "work day."  On the bright side, it doesn't take long to vacuum the floor in the motorhome.

We had lunch out, then made a trip to the grocery store.  Joan likes Fry's, and there is a very nice one about 2 miles from the RV park.  It was packed.  We didn't need a whole lot, but we still had to make a full circumnavigation of the store... it takes time when it is that busy.  I am pretty sure the woman who was pushing her cart at 1/4th speed while swerving back and forth to block the entire aisle was driving the car that was in front of us when we came into the RV park... and we are at the far back portion of the park.

We had a psychological spirit lift today: it is only supposed to get to 97º for a high today.  Depending on where you were in the Valley of the Sun yesterday, it got up to 102 - 104º.  In the grand scheme of things, 5 or 6 degrees difference isn't a big deal... but people here seem to celebrate any day that is below triple digit temperatures.
