A date...

The boy-girl kind, not the one like a fig or a prune.

A turn of the weather again today: in the 50s, cold north wind, spitty drizzle.  During the last couple of northers, we talked about going to a movie - today was the day.  Lunch at BurgerFi, then to the nearby theater.

I was surprised by the number of cars that were parked outside.  Joan reminded me that this is a holiday week and there are probably a lot of families here.  That, and the crappy weather.  We went to see Bohemian Rhapsody, which has been on for over a week... I figured that wouldn't have as much of a crowd as some of the other movies (it's a 4-plex).

While the theater wasn't packed, it was at least half full.  And that is unusual for an early afternoon show here.  We have frequently been 2 of 6 or 8 people in the theater.  On the really bright side, we found a couple comfortable chairs... I will charitably say that many of the seats have served admirably, and are now a bit past their prime.  Or, it may be that we have become spoiled by some of the great theaters when we go to Phoenix, where they have electric reclining over-stuff seats; and, you can pick your seat ahead of time on-line.  Nope, we are still in the olden days of not knowing where you'll be sitting until you are in the theater.

Enough of the critique of the theater, how was the movie?  Thanks for asking - it was great!  We both gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up.  Of course, Queen was from our era of music.  The story line was good.  The music was outstanding.  Some great concert scenes.  And a look at the life of Freddy Mercury.

👍👍

We absolutely loved the movie, too. Timeline discrepancies be damned, the music was terrific and Rami Malek killed the part.
