Another indoor day...

The thermometer struggled to make it into the upper 40s today.  The wind howled - enough so that the Aerostat blimp used by the Coast Guard and Border Protection was destroyed.  I am hoping it will be replaced - it was an "eye in the sky" and provided some peace of mind.

The predicted rain didn't happen.  In fact, by late afternoon, there were a few breaks in the overcast... the downside of that: with a clearing sky and lighter winds, there are freeze warnings all over the Rio Grande Valley tonight.  Being right on the water, the odds are pretty good it won't be an issue for us, but it will be for everyone west of us.

For some perspective, our average daytime high this time of year is 78 to 80º... not even close today.

Joan got more sewing done, I messed with action cameras.  A look down the canal and the late afternoon sky...

Yeah, we ran the heat last night, and will be doing that again tonight.
