Turf and Surf...

Not the daily lunch special.

It has been a full week since we've been out on the boat.  At least that long since Joan has been on her scooter.  Today is an absolutely glorious day here in the Tropical Tip, so the plan is to get some scooter time, have a nice lunch out, then out on the boat.

Rolling...

Out of town and riding the back roads around Bayview...

The road that takes you to the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge has been in horrible shape for years.  At long last, the road is being replaced - won't be long before we'll be able to get there without 4-wheeling...

Across the causeway and onto South Padre Island...

Lunch with a view of the bay...

Back home; a change of gear and out on the boat...

We didn't have to go far to find dolphins - lots of dolphins...

Some bow surfing...

An Army Corps of Engineers boat...

Waving bye-bye...

Back home; Rufus got some time on the deck while I cleaned up and put away the boat.  A nice way to spend the day...

------

I spent some of the evening editing photos and video clips.  Here's a completed video of the day...

Nice Video clip of the Dolphins-- Thanks..

That's no way to Stow a Fender-- Not as bad as running with Fenders still out though..
I've always said "Running a Boat With Fenders Out is Like Walking Around With Your Fly Open"..

Yes, HRB, I agree with you regarding the fender. Easy to flip in, flip out, though... and these days I am all about the easy. The other fenders are on the dock. I wondered if anyone besides me would notice.
