Tick, tick, tick...

Close.  The motorhome is ready to roll.  As is the cargo trailer.  We don't have the CR-V loaded to the gills, so that was easy.  In the morning, it is the last of the closing down stuff with the house, take our last personal items to the coach... and we'll be rolling.

Our swing bridge raises and lowers with the tide.  The motorhome is low profile, and that includes the lower body panels; when you have higher or lower than normal tides, it is wise to time the bridge crossing so nothing drags.  Full moon tonight, and that affects the tides.  We'll be coming off high tide around 7:30 tomorrow morning, so a couple hours after that should be good for us.

Tonight's full moon...

It's the Full Buck Moon (because a buck's antlers are in full growth mode)... or the Thunder Full Moon (because of frequent thunderstorms this time of year).  It is also 50 years to the day that Apollo 11 launched (1969) and would be the mission that first put a man on the moon.

We have a plan for tomorrow: a typical day's drive, then take a day off the road.  This will be the first time since the "big cut" that I've driven more than a couple hours.  The motorhome is comfortable.  I'm planning for frequent breaks so I can do a walk around; and, yeah, we'll be double towing.

See you down the road.

Hi Bob. Yeah, this is as soon as I cared to give it a go. Oh, I had my head in it, but I needed to feel good about the physical part. Check out today's post - it was a good traveling day.
