Choices...

This morning, Steph and Dan were on a quest.  Toilet paper anxiety.  At the 4th stop, they saw people coming out of a Target carrying toilet paper.  There was a line to get in the door - not because of the toilet paper, but the store was allowing people 65 and older the first hour of business.

When it was their turn in line, they had a choice: a 4 pack of Charmin or a 24 pack of 7th Generation toilet paper.  They went for the 7th Generation... quantity over quality.  Their supply was getting close; yes, we were ready to share if it became necessary.  These are, indeed, tough times.

Joan said, "I remember 7th Generation from our time in Friday Harbor.  It is 100% recycled paper.  I didn't like the smell of it."

My first thought was: 100% recycled?  Ewwww!  No, it is made from recycled paper and then whitened without bleach.  It is supposed to be "gentle on the environment."  I like my toilet paper to be gentle on my ass.  TMI?

On her birthday, we did give Steph two rolls of TP from Dollar Tree.  Single ply.  It was the beginning of the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020.  She did not have to use them, but said she will put them in a glass case with a sign that says "For Emergency Use Only."

It is important to maintain a sense of humor.
