Close...

We got together with Mark and Cindy again today.  As usual, the ladies worked on quilting projects, Mark and I made some music.  Joan is almost done with her cat quilt.  It is looking great.

Mark and I worked on that Semisonic song we played around with on Wednesday.  We decided to record it, but ran into a glitch.  There is a pause in that song, and then the music comes back in hard.  We probably should have put in a vocal cue count where the music comes back in; you can always drop that count out later.  We didn't do that.

So, scratch track, drum track, bass track, guitar track, and then a piano track... and it was missing "the punch" where the music comes back in.  We tried to cut in on that spot, but it was becoming more work and not giving us the sound we wanted.

It was getting late in the afternoon, but we decided to start from scratch (get it: scratch track?).  We got the scratch track done, then I put a drum track and a guitar track down.  Mark can now work at his leisure for bass and piano tracks.

Some times you just have to know when to say when.  On the bright side, we have no TV on at Mark and Cindy's house... so we didn't have to listen to the latest "counts" on the Corona-virus.

Arizona's Governor said that Arizona schools will be close "until at least April 10th."  Better than the early decision some states have made to keep school closed until after summer.

On the travel front, I read that some commercial campgrounds (notably: KOAs) are closing.  I can understand closing the shower houses and bathrooms, but they can do reservations and take payment on-line.  Closing the campgrounds doesn't make sense to me.  It is going to be difficult to plan for our trek home.
