A big change this week: we have drywall! The tape and texture hasn't been done, yet, but the interior walls look like... walls.
Steph and Dan's patio view...
That wall at the back of the yard is new.
Not much change from the outside...
Houses that are ahead of us in the build have roof tiles on, exterior stucco, and driveways poured. Things are progressing. Steph was told, "Two and a half months to close once the drywall is done..." which would put things around early October instead of mid-December. We'll see how things play out. It looks more like a house each week.

Serious progress indeed. That looks like a house, and early availability should be a good thing for you. It is good to see Rufus getting out to explore and socialize. Our guys are hunkered down in the AC today, as it finally dropped below triple-digits here as the sun gets lower.
Poor Duke is lonely. Alice is wrapping up day #2 of a four-day flute workshop locally at the university. She leaves at 0730 and gets home around 2130. Duke misses his mommy/ While I provide a steady food supply and some entertainment, I am NOT his person.
Hi Earl. Ruf gets out for walks a couple times each day. He loves all the grass here. Our days have not been hot, yet. Upper 70s to low 80s most days since we've been here.
So, do you and Duke have to compete for Alice's attention in that short time she's home during this workshop? "Pet me!" "No, pet me!" ;-)
